James Curtis Atkins (March 10, 1921 – February 28, 2009) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox in the 1950 and 1952 seasons. Listed at 6' 3", 205 lb., Atkins batted left-handed and threw right-handed. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama.

In a two-season career, Atkins posted a 0-1 record with a 3.60 ERA, two strikeouts, and 15 innings of work in four appearances (one as a starter).
